2025 year recap I
A Chinese proverb says that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. What steps did we take at our firm in 2025?
We are proud of our clients and would like to share a few examples of our work:
⚪ We helped Tallinn Tondi School, a school for children with special needs, to encourage, guide, and support young people with special needs in becoming as independent members of society as possible, by representing the City of Tallinn in court in a financial correction dispute worth approximately €600,000.
⚪ We assisted the Integration Foundation in supporting the development of an integrated and cohesive society in Estonia through the conduct of various public procurements.
⚪ We helped EstDev work toward ensuring that sustainable development is directed toward people’s well-being in freedom and security, based on Estonia’s best development and reform experience, by conducting EstDev’s public procurements.
⚪ We are assisting our client in defending the survival of Estonia’s entire short-term accommodation sector in court—a case also covered by Pealtnägija—with the court judgment expected at the end of December.
⚪ We helped Eesti Pank (the Bank of Estonia) contribute to the sustainable development of the Estonian economy and growth in prosperity by representing the Bank of Estonia before the Public Procurement Review Committee and in conducting public procurement procedures.
⚪ We helped ensure Estonia’s energy security during disconnection from the Russian electricity system by advising Elering on conducting the necessary frequency reserve public procurement.
⚪ We helped integrate the Baltic States into the European rail network by participating in the Rail Baltic Estonia alliance procurement advisory team and by successfully representing RBE before the Public Procurement Review Committee in a challenge concerning the procurement results.
⚪ We are helping the Estonian Institute of Historical Memory to establish the Patarei Memorial Museum and Research Centre for Victims of Communism.
⚪ We helped Estonia’s business environment make the most of the public procurement market by advising on the preparation of tenders and representing various entrepreneurs in disputes.
⚪ We helped ensure opportunities for development, learning, and self-realization for everyone by training specialists of the Ministry of Education and Research in drafting technical specifications for public procurement.
✨ Based on a client satisfaction survey conducted among our largest clients, the firm’s recommendation rate was 💯—every respondent would recommend our services to others.
In addition:
⚪ Kadri Matteus retained her status as a recommended lawyer in the Lexology Index in the public procurement category.
⚪ Based on its 2024 financial results, the firm made it into Äripäev’s ranking of law firms.
We are deeply grateful to our clients and cooperation partners 🙏
